What can we offer you?
Our Football Development Centre (FDC) has provided the England Colleges Internationals over the last 5 years, and have been, as a college, the British Colleges National Champions in 2 of the last 3 years. Run in Partnership with Training Ground alongside academic staff, students are provided the opportunity to gain recognised academic qualifications, a key element of our success both in class and on the pitch, whilst undertaking full time professional training as part of the FDC squad.
Our CYQ Fitness Training and Instruction programmes run either as part of your academic studies, or as stand-alone qualifications. CYQ Level 1, Level 2 and the Level 3 Personal Training programmes provide not only an opportunity to work independently in the fitness industry, but increase your acceptance into university on sport and sport related courses.
We pride ourselves on delivering and providing excellence, and offer motivated, talented sports men and women the expertise, knowledge and guidance they require to get ahead in the sports industry and maximise their own individual potential in the gym, on the sports pitch and in the classroom.
A wide range of qualifations are offered which include BTEC Level 2, BTEC Level 3, Coaching NVQ, FA Coaching qualifications, CYQ Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3.

Serious about Academic Achievement?
Huntingdonshire Regional College Sport Department offers a wide variety of Sports courses and options to young people looking to undertake a career in the Sports Industry or go on to university, something nearly 50% of our Level 3 go on to do.
With more than 300 registrations on 13 courses, the Sport Department overall academic success rate 2011 - 2012 reached our highest ever with 93% of students who started gaining their qualification.
We get a lot of questions about university, and if our qualifications allow for entry. YES THEY DO.
BTEC Level 3 is fully accepted by most universities check out potential courses at www.whatuni.com.
So if you want something different from Sixth Form, but still want to go to university, we can make sure you are able to progress. Last year students were accepted into a range of universities including University of Bath, Sheffield, Leeds, and Southampton with previous students studying at universities such as Bedford, Northampton. We have both male and female students on soccer scholarships in the USA
